Portable Performs River Ritual, Says He Wants ₦100 Billion

Nigerian singer Portable is trending again after a video surfaced showing him performing what appeared to be a ritual by a river.



In the clip, the singer is seen holding a live chicken, washing his head with it before throwing it into the river while chanting. At one point, he clearly says, “I need ₦100 billion.”


The video comes shortly after another clip where he spoke about wanting greater music streams and higher sales.



As expected, the footage has generated mixed reactions online. While some see it as a personal spiritual practice, others are questioning the symbolism and timing of the act, especially as he continues to publicly speak about wealth and fame.
