2027: Why This Moment Fits Dr. Mahmoud Bala Alfa

Image
By Yusuf Adama. In every region's political journey, there comes a time when preparation and access to opportunity must lead every aspect when it's politicians and posterity is discussed. It is not always obvious at first, and it does not come with noise or sudden excitement. But when it happens, it creates a rare alignment between readiness and timing, between experience and need. Kogi East may be approaching such a moment. The conversations ahead of 2027 are not like those of the past. There is a growing awareness, a shift in thinking, and a sense that the usual approach may no longer be enough to meet the demands of the present. We can see that the region is asking deeper questions, and the answer it seeks has moved from just who is available to who is prepared. Not just who is known, but who understands. Not just who can speak, but who can deliver. And this time, the cost of getting it wrong may be too high for the region to bear again. This shift matters. Becau...

NDC Founder Henry Serieke Dickson Fires Back at Umar Ardo, Defends Party Registration

Image
Henry Serieke Dickson, former Bayelsa State governor and current founder and national leader of the New Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded sharply to criticisms from Dr. Umar Ardo, describing them as misleading and disappointing given their long-standing friendship. At the center of Ardo’s allegation is the claim that the NDC’s registration was improper or influenced. Dickson clarified that the NDC registration process did not start recently. The application began in 2017, years before Ardo initiated his own political efforts. Progress was delayed due to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) suspension of new party registrations under Mahmood Yakubu. Once the suspension lifted, the NDC resumed its application and was among over 170 political associations awaiting screening. INEC initially declined the application, citing similarities between the NDC’s proposed logo and that of the APC. The NDC challenged INEC’s decision in court, offering to change the ...

💚🇳🇬 He Got ₦2.26 Million By Mistake… And Sent Everything Back Including The ₦50k “Thank You”

Image
A Nigerian man has shared how ₦2,260,000 landed in his Opay account by mistake and what he did next is what people are reacting to. He said he was on his phone when the alert came in. The amount looked off, so he waited, knowing the owner would call. The call came. The man on the other end was confused, speaking in Hausa and trying to explain he sent the money wrongly. He was panicking. Instead of dragging it, he told him to calm down, confirmed he saw the money, and returned everything. ₦2.26 million complete, receipt sent. Minutes later, another alert came in ₦50,000 as appreciation. He sent that one back too. He said the money is a big part of his monthly salary but he doesn’t believe in getting paid for doing the right thing. He also raised a point about how difficult it could be to recover such money if the receiver refused to return it. One mistake. Two alerts. ₦2.31 million total. All returned. #kindness  #refund  #Opay

🔥 Lady Rejects Man Over APC Support, Blasts Him

Image
A woman has sparked reactions online after narrating how she turned down a man who approached her for a relationship because he supports the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to her, she was already giving him attention while heading out for deliveries—until he brought out an APC cap and wore it. She said her countenance changed immediately and she told him she could no longer listen to him. When he kept pressing her for a reason, she told him bluntly that anyone supporting APC “does not have sense” and is not thinking about their future. She blamed supporters for backing a system she says is responsible for killings, insecurity, hunger, and hardship in the country. She also referenced government spending and borrowing, questioning why people would still support the party despite current conditions.

One Senator. Three Regions. One State.

Image
By Mahmoud Bala Alfa, Ph.D. Kogi State is a place of many voices, defined by its different languages, cultures, and histories that have grown side by side over time. From the East to the West, and across the Central axis, this diversity should be a source of strength. It should create balance, build understanding, and give the state a shared sense of direction that reflects the richness of its people. But, this has not fully been our experience. Over the years, what should have brought us together has taken a more complex path. Not always in ways that are loud or confrontational, but in something quieter like in how we see ourselves, how we relate to one another, and how we understand representation. The differences that should have strengthened our shared voice have instead created a subtle separation, felt more in attitude than in appearance. At the same time, it is important to acknowledge that Kogi State has not stood still. Under the leadership of His Excellency, Yahay...

APC Set to Absorb “Obidient” Movement as Balami Makes Bold Move

Image
By Opaluwa Oguche A quiet but significant shift may be taking place in the Obedient movement camp as Isaac Balami, once a visible figure within the Obidient movement, has announced plans to move a large portion of that structure into the All Progressives Congress. For many young Nigerians who invested time, energy, and belief into the Obidient movement, this is personal.  It raises questions about loyalty, direction, and what happens when movements built on passion meet the harsh reality that highlights the importance of political structure. Balami stated that his decision is rooted in conviction. Having worked closely within the system, he believes aligning with the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu offers a more practical path to influence and inclusion, emphasising what this holds for young people and underrepresented communities. His argument is simple but difficult to ignore. In Nigeria, emotions alone do not win elections.  They are won by structure, reach,...

Echoga Boys Move to Fund APC Nomination Form for Sumaila Muhammed Attah Enjema

Image
It would be recalled that the APC  party released prices for her nomination and interests forms during their well attended convention at Eagle Square. Worthy of note is the high price for the forms as the form for president goes for 200million, Governor goes for 150million, senate goes for 100million with house of reps and Assembly going for 70 and 20million respectively.  In light of that, the Echoga Boys pledge to purchase the APC Kogi State House of Assembly nomination form for Sumaila Muhammed Attah Enjema regardless of the cost. It is said he is contesting one of the Ankpa state Assembly seats.  This is not just ordinary support, it is a clear show of loyalty, confidence, and belief in a man many see as capable of delivering credible representation for Ankpa II. At a time when trust in leadership is often questioned, this move sends a strong message that the people are ready to stand behind someone they believe has the vision, capacity, and passion to lea...

If he stays, then that’s your husband.” She eventually gathered the courage and told him the truth. His response surprised her. He told her it wasn’t a problem and described it as something God would use to show His power in her life. From that point, she said she was open with him, telling him every time it happened which she described as frequent,...

Indonesia Bans Kids Under 16 from Social Media — Starting Today

Image
Starting March 28, 2026, Indonesia has officially restricted children under 16 from creating or using accounts on high-risk platforms, including TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Bigo Live, and Roblox. The government says this is to protect kids from pornography, scams, cyberbullying, and smartphone addiction — calling it a “digital emergency” and a way to reclaim the sovereignty of children’s futures. Platforms must comply immediately, or face fines or service restrictions. X (Twitter) and Bigo Live have already updated age restrictions, while TikTok, Roblox, and others are rolling out safeguards. With over 70 million kids under 16 in Indonesia, this is one of the largest social media interventions in the world, and the first of its kind in Southeast Asia outside the West. Me; Will restricting kids under 16 online protect them… or will tech-savvy teens find ways around it anyway?

A former middle school teacher is about to be sentenced for engaging in $ezual act, multiple times, with a 13yr old in her class.

Image
Ashley A. Fisler, 36, of Washington Township, New Jersey, previously taught social studies at Orchard Valley Middle School from 2014 until 2023. She left the school system in April 2023 and has not returned to teaching since. In January 2026, a former student, now an adult, reported that in 2021 while he was still a minor (13 years old) in her class, an unlawful relationship took place. According to investigators, the alleged encounters happened multiple times. Some reportedly occurred inside a classroom after school hours, while others were said to have taken place in her vehicle. Authorities say a review of the victim’s digital devices uncovered messages and images that supported the claims and pointed to an ongoing inappropriate connection at the time. Following an investigation led by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, she was arrested in late March 2026 and charged with a total of eight counts, including six counts of first degree sexual assault of a mino...

“Finished Man” —Lady's Brutal Take Sparks Debate Online

Image
A woman has set social media on fire after dropping a harsh list of what she calls the signs of a “finished man” and she did not hold back. According to her, any man who loses himself over a woman, ignores red flags, or keeps lowering his standards just for temporary pleasure is already finished. She argues that men who depend only on money to attract women, lack confidence, or take back unfaithful partners are setting themselves up to be disrespected. She also stressed one controversial point: a man who does not see himself as the prize will always be treated as an option.

⚠️🇳🇬 Freed Victims Reveal How Terrorists Are Operating Inside Kainji Forest

Image
New details from two rescued victims, Badiyu Hamidu and Saminu Isah, are exposing how deeply organised terrorist operations have become inside the Kainji Forest Reserve. According to their account, at least 10 trucks loaded with food items like grains and yams were delivered into a camp deep inside the forest. Victims said they were forced at gunpoint to offload the supplies, showing how civilians are being used as labour to keep operations running while avoiding detection. They also reported seeing young boys guarding the camps, raising fresh concerns about the use of minors. Even more telling, the terrorists reportedly claimed locals had been allowed to farm, fish, and carry out activities in the forest before now accusing them of “betrayal” for trying to leave. Security experts say this points to a shift from cooperation to full control through fear and intimidation. The scale of food stockpiling suggests one thing, These groups are preparing to stay, fight, and survive ...
